TRS is one of the largest pension systems in the United States. Since 1917, we have been building better tomorrows for New York City educators. We offer members a Tax-Deferred Annuity Program to supplement their benefits under the Qualified Pension Plan.

Our mission is to provide retirement, disability, and death benefit services to our members, including the efficient collection of contributions, the prudent investment of retirement funds, the responsible disbursement of member benefits, and the delivery of exceptional levels of member service.
